Create Your Own Course

Are you interested in becoming a Footgolf course?

The IFGA was set up to nurture the development of Footgolf in Ireland. The sport is played on an existing golf course, either alongside golf or as a dedicated Footgolf facility. We can assist you in turning all or part of your facility into a first class Footgolf course.

But can Golf and Footgolf be played on the course at the same time?

Yes. Golfers and footgolfers don’t typically play the same holes. They only share parts of existing fairways and rarely use the same greens. Play is therefore generally unaffected as players balls don’t interfere with one another. The course can operate a ‘shared’ policy so that players can have a round of either Footgolf or golf at any time, or the course may set specific times for Footgolf – on a quiet golf day or late in the afternoon, for example.

So how can we help you?

Full Design & Planning Service

Before you consider setting up a Footgolf course it is important to do your research. Designing a Footgolf course is a lot more than digging giant holes in the ground. Length, flow, natural obstacles, interesting contours and optimum par considerations are all key to realising your course’s potential. You cannot afford to leave this to chance and we will help you make these key decisions.
